The existence of a sequel to Lords of the Fallen is nothing new. The developers at Hexworks have been around for a while now, but we were still waiting to see the title appear in the open.
It is now done. The one we now call The Lords of the Fallen came to us for Gamescom Opening Night Live 2022, not without bringing a rock ‘n’ roll touch.
If the change of name remains… minimal so to speak, the withdrawal of the number 2 is not insignificant; indeed what was to be a sequel will ultimately be more in the spiritual sense of the term, since it is a reboot to which we will be entitled. The Lords of the Fallen nevertheless remains anchored in the universe of the first, taking place a thousand years later in a world immersed in a conflict which opposes the dead to the living.
According to the statements of the studio, it is a game up to 5 times larger than that of 2014. What is more, there will be so-called interconnected zones in which it will be possible to call a friend. As the trailer lets us know, The Lords of the Fallen is greatly inspired by From Software games, and is already advancing as a « souls-like ».
The Lords of the Fallen has not yet found a date, but we still know that it is planned for Xbox Series, PS5 and PC.
