Game News Gamescom 2022: After leaked information, an official presentation for the sequel to Tales from the Borderlands?

Last week, Tales from the Borderlands 2, of its provisional name, revealed its first information in spite of itself, following a major leak on the web. And if the tweezers were necessarily required, it would seem that the continuation of the narrative game is indeed the subject of an official presentation to come.

A few days before Gamescom 2022, whose ceremony entitled “Opening Night Live” will open the doors tonight, Amazon tells us sold the wick in advance about a certain Tales from the Borderlands 2. Newly dubbed New Tales from the Borderlands According to the first leaked elements, the studios of 2K Games and Gearbox Software are taking over from Telltale Games to offer us the sequel to the point and click narrative adventure game.
Accompanied by a first visual on the jackets, the site also displayed a synopsis revealing three new protagonists : Fran, Aru and his brother Octavio, ready to do battle through a scenario divided into 5 episodes. Everything would be expected for October 21 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, Nintendo Switch and on PC. Amazon quickly removed the page, so caution was in order while waiting for an official announcement, which shouldn’t be long in coming.
Trailer, gameplay… an official presentation?
It is therefore via a publication on his official account that Geoff Keighley, the master of ceremonies in person, invites players to meet this evening for the opening of Gamescom 2022. Indeed, the journalist is clearly teasing a new game taking place in the Borderlands universe, and through a simple image displaying three silhouettes probably corresponding to the three characters mentioned above.
The Opening Night Live scene could therefore lift the curtain on an official presentation of this Tales from the Borderlands 2 whose development was announced by the Gearbox Software teams last april.
