Gamers collapsed the rating of the game on Steam due to the patch note – in the description of the changes, the developer urged not to wear masks | Games

The developer of the gladiatorial combat simulator Domina, Nick Gorissen, urged gamers not to use protective masks in public places. In response to this, gamers began to underestimate the rating of the game on Steam.

In the patch notes for the beta version of Domina, the author decided to include information not related to the game. He expressed a personal position on the relationship between men and women and “gave advice” – in the reviews for the game, users noted that they did not need it.

Nick Gorissen:

“Take off the damn mask! Next time you’re at the grocery store, try showing some woman your face. Be confident in yourself, don’t be afraid of a LIE – and perhaps you will have a girlfriend. Women like confidence, they don’t like guys who cover their faces in fear. What are you afraid of? That you finally sleep with a woman? Grow up!

After the release of the corresponding description, the rating of the game Domina on Steam collapsed. Over the course of two days, recent ratings went from “very positive” to “very negative.” At the time of publication of the material, gamers left 678 negative reviews. The author did not listen to the criticism of the audience: he not only did not remove the controversial description of the patch note, but also began to ridicule the players who spoke regarding the situation on Twitter.
