Originally from Egypt, Ahmed Khairy (pictured left) is co-founder and CEO of Gameball, a marketing platform that enables businesses to grow and increase revenue through effective customer retention. The service helps brands deliver compelling personalized experiences to their customers that keep them coming back. It teaches them to better understand the aspirations of their target audience.
Gameball, founded in 2019 with Ahmed El Assy and Omar Alfar (middle and right in the photo) is today the leading customer loyalty platform in the Middle East. It serves more than 2,000 businesses and nearly 20 million consumers worldwide. The solution is available on Shopify, WooCommerce, and has its own website.
On February 7, 2023, the start-up announced that it had completed a USD 3.5 million funding round to accelerate the marketing of its service and strategic recruitment. The round was led by 500 Global, P1 Ventures and Launch Africa Ventures, and also included Seedra Ventures, Arzan Ventures, Propeller and Core Vision alongside regional angel investors.

Ahmed Khairy is a graduate of Cairo University where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering in 2009. He also holds an International General Certificate of Secondary Education in mathematics, physics and biology obtained at the University of Cambridge in 2004 .
Before Gameball, in 2011 he co-founded Be Coaching, a life and business consulting and coaching company. He was responsible for training there. In 2009, he also co-founded the start-up Kite Automation to educate customers regarding automation technologies and how they simplify life and save energy and the environment. He was successively the technical manager and the commercial director of the company between 2009 and 2011.
In 2011, Ahmed joined Schneider Electric as Senior Project Engineer. He worked there until 2017. At the same time, report We Are Tech Africahe was a partner of Jadarat International, a company specializing in training, between 2014 and 2017.
