FC Barcelona’s away game at FC Cadiz was interrupted in the closing stages due to a medical emergency. The game might only be resumed following a break of around 55 minutes.

Apparently, dramatic scenes took place in the stands. Cadiz goalkeeper Jeremias Ledesma even threw a defibrillator in the stands. The players of both teams stayed on the pitch for a total of almost 20 minutes, some players prayed and looked spellbound towards the stands before they were sent to the dressing rooms by the referee.
It was only following a break of more than 40 minutes that it became clear that the game would end following all. When a paramedic ran on the sidelines towards the dressing room, he was greeted with applause from the spectators.
