Detran-DF will control vehicle traffic during sporting and cultural activities on Saturday (7) and Sunday (8)
Due to events that will be promoted this weekend, inspection teams from the Federal District Traffic Department (Detran-DF) will carry out traffic interventions in Águas Claras, Gama and Eixo Monumental.
The Night Run 2023 Race will be held this Saturday (7), at Eixo Monumental. Starting at 4pm, Detran teams will close three lanes of the S1 road, close to the median, from the Museum of the Republic to Avenida das Bandeiras. The remaining lanes will be open to vehicle traffic.
On the N1 road, four lanes will be closed. The blockade will occur from L2 North to the Military Fire Brigade (CBMDF) barracks. In this section, two lanes will be reserved for vehicles. Access to the N1 road, via L4 North, will be closed. Detran teams will also close two lanes on the Presidential Palace road up to the Jaburu Palace.
Participants will leave at 7pm. The start and finish will take place at the Museum of the Republic. Traffic interventions are expected to take place until 10pm.
Also on Saturday (7), in Gama, a civic parade will be held in celebration of the city’s 63rd anniversary. Starting at 9am, participants will leave the parking lot of the Olympic and Paralympic Center (COP) and head along Avenida dos Firefighters towards the Gama Regional Administration. The section designated for the parade will be closed between 8 am and 10 am. Detran teams will work in the vicinity of the event to ensure safety and smooth traffic flow.
In turn, on Sunday (8), in Águas Claras, the LGBTQIA+ Pride Parade will take place. Participants will gather, starting at 2pm, at Praça Estação 16 Norte, close to the Arniqueiras Metro-DF station. From 5pm onwards, they will march along Boulevard Norte. At the Águas Claras Regional Administration, they will access Boulevard Sul, where they will continue to Praça Estação 16 Sul. During the journey, Detran inspection teams will make the necessary restrictions on public passage.
