Galicia, the only autonomous community that for the moment maintains covid restrictions: which ones and why?

Galicia It is the only autonomous community that, for the moment, maintains some of the restrictions due to the coronavirus, which, specifically, have to do with the covid passport and the limiting social gatherings. For their part, the other two regions that continued to this day also with regional measures- Canary Islands and Valencian Community-, have decided this Thursday to end these restrictions.

In this way, in Galicia, today, it is required the use of the Covid passport for visits to hospitals and residences and it still exists limitation of diners per table in hospitality (10 indoors and 20 outdoors), at least until Saturday March 26, when these measures decline.

However, tomorrow, Friday, March 25, as is the weekly custom, there will be a meeting of the expertsso there will be a wait if they decide to extend these measures or, on the contrary, drop them next Saturday.

For their part, the other two communities that also maintained some restriction, the Canary Islands and the Valencian Community, have decided between yesterday and today to put an end to these regional measures.

In any case, despite the fact that almost all the communities have decided to end the autonomous restrictions, some state measures are still maintained, such as the mandatory use of the indoor mask.

This is the situation in each autonomous community this Thursday, March 24:

Andalusia

Andalusia has been since February 15, the date on which the Covid passport became mandatory, no coronavirus restrictionsbeyond the use of a mask indoors, although the Board is in favor of gradually withdrawing this measure.

Aragon

In Aragon, the Justice annulled the Covid passport in mid-February, so there are no mandatory restrictions in this region either.

Asturias

Since last March 5, Asturias lives in the ‘almost normal’ Regarding the coronavirus, since there is only the mandatory use of masks indoors.

Baleares

Also since the beginning of March, the Balearic population lives without any restriction by Covid-19.

Canary Islands

The Canary Islands have put an end today, Thursday, to all the restrictions due to coronavirus, being one of the latest communities to end certain measures related to capacity and limitation of social gatherings.

Cantabria

Cantabria has also limited this Thursday also the Covid measures to the mandatory use of a mask indoors, thus ending all restrictions.

Castile and Leon

The Castilian-Leonese region has been one of the communities in which few restrictions due to the sixth wave of the coronavirus, so there are currently no measures related to the pandemic.

Castilla la Mancha

Castilla-La Mancha has also been another of the regions in which few restrictions were taken due to the sixth wave of the coronavirus, so currently there is no measure related to the pandemic.

Catalonia

Catalonia, one of the communities that more measures took during the sixth wave of Covid -going even to decree a curfew-, has been without regional restrictions since February.

Basque Country

The Basque Country eliminated all mandatory restrictions due to the coronavirus on February 14, leaving behind the Health Emergency.

Estremadura

Extremadura has also been another of the regions in which few restrictions due to the sixth wave of the coronavirus, so there are currently no measures related to the pandemic.

Galicia

In Galicia, today, the use of the Covid passport is mandatory for visits to hospitals and residences and there is still a limitation of diners per table in the hospitality industry (10 indoors and 20 outdoors), although these measures will decline this Saturday 26 March.

The Rioja

On Monday, February 28, the Covid passport obligation in La Rioja declined, so there is currently no regional restrictive measure related to the pandemic in this region.

Madrid’s community

Madrid has also been another of the regions in which few restrictions were taken due to the sixth wave of the coronavirus, so there are currently no measures related to the pandemic.

Murcia

In Murcia there are no mandatory regional restrictions since last February 16.

Navarra

In Navarra there are no mandatory regional restrictions since last February 16.

Valencian Community

The Valencian Community has removed all restrictions related to the coronavirus except the prohibition of smoking on terraces and the obligation to use the mask indoors, a state restriction.
