Reports revealed that the South Korean company “Samsung” will avoid a major design flaw in all of its foldable phones, through its upcoming and expected “Galaxy Z Fold 5” phone.
And it was reported that “Samsung” used a hinge in the shape of a drop of water in its next phone, which would make it able to fold completely flat, with no gap between the two halves of the phone, when it is folded, according to the Korean “Nafer” website.
The Korean report indicates that “Samsung” calls its new “dumbbell” hinge design, and obtained a patent for this design in 2016, however, it did not submit the design for unknown reasons.
The “dumbbell” will increase the durability of the “Galaxy Z Fold 5” phone screen, and it will be able to withstand more folding procedures.
Moreover, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5’s inner screen will have a smoother and less noticeable crease, a development that Galaxy Z Fold fans have been calling for at least two years.
