According to the famous leaker, the upcoming foldable devices from Samsung will feature the “Slide Screen Split” feature, and the leaker did not reveal details regarding this feature, but it indicates that the user will be able to run applications in split screen mode with a single click.
Previous Galaxy Z Fold3 and Flip3 phones used the multi-window tray or recent apps menu to access split-screen mode, but in the new generation it will be easier, simpler and with a single tap.
Samsung will not be the first company to adopt this feature as both Oppo and Vivo use the same feature where the screen is split with a simple gesture, for example on a phone the screen can be split by swiping down with the screen. This feature is expected to be adopted in One UI 4.1.1 for foldable phones, and this opens the possibility of using this feature on the Fold 3 and Flip 3 phones in the future.
