It seems that we are very close to the launch date of the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 economic tablet, as Snoopy Tech published a new leak of the tablet containing the most prominent and important specifications of the device, along with the expected selling price.
According to this leak, the tablet has thick bezels around the screen, and the back panel has a single camera lens but the strange thing is that there is no trace of the LED flash so it will be difficult to rely on this camera in low light conditions.
In fact, this tablet is similar to the Galaxy Tab A7 10.4 tablet that was launched in the year 2020. As for the internal specifications, here is a quick glimpse of the specifications of the tablet that were just leaked.
Galaxy Tab A7 Possible Specifications
Since the tablet is aimed at the economy class and those with limited budgets, it will give up some advanced features and stick to the basics.
For example, the tablet has a modest TFT screen with a resolution of 2000 x 1200 pixels. The Galaxy Tab A7 will be equipped with a Unisoc T618 processor, which is a very weak but OK processor, and it will come paired with 3 GB of random access memory.
For data and media storage, the tablet will have 32GB of internal storage, but storage will not be a concern for the user because the device has a microSD card reader slot but we don’t know what the maximum supported storage capacity is.
The tablet will be powered by a 7,040mAh battery. While the front side has a 5MP camera, the back side has an 8MP camera which is responsible for producing better quality photos.
Compared to the Galaxy Tab A7 10.4, we will find that the specifications are very similar, except for the processing chip used. The original model had a Snapdragon 662 SoC and this processor comes in the same price bracket as the Unisoc T618 processor.
The leaker claims that the price of the new tablet is 199 euros. That’s it, we don’t know when the tablet will be announced exactly. But in related news, it is known that the Korean company is currently preparing to host its second Galaxy Unpacked event this year in order to announce the fourth generation foldable phones, and it is likely that the event will witness the launch of both the Galaxy Watch 5 and the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro as well.
The event is rumored to take place on August 10 and the new devices will be available for sale from August 26, so Samsung will likely confirm the date of the event within the next few days.
