Galaxy S23 Ultra beats iPhone 14 Pro Max in speed, test shows

the newly released Galaxy S23 Ultrafrom Samsung, won the iPhone 14 Pro Max in the latest channel speed test PhoneBuffon YouTube — which was marked by the breaking of a long taboo.

With the help of a robot, the channel placed the two devices side by side to open a series of applications in sequence and perform specific actions within some of them. First, the apps were opened from scratch and then reopened following being put in the background. Whoever completes these two “laps” first is declared the test winner.

The iPhone 14 Pro Max was faster when opening the Microsoft Excel app and taking a selfie with the Camera app, which gave it a certain advantage at the start of the race. This “fat”, however, did not last long, since the Apple smartphone took much longer than the Galaxy S23 Ultra to open and export a file in the FilmoraGo video editor.

This iPhone 14 Pro Max bottleneck gave Samsung’s device a nice advantage – which lasted for much of the first round of testing. Apple’s smartphone even managed to recover some ground, but ended up hitting the post at the end of the first round with a time of 01:55:67contra 01:54:31 of the Galaxy S23 Ultra — this, it is worth noting, is the first that an Android smartphone wins the first part of the comparison following 1.244 dias reign of Apple devices.

The dispute in the second round was much closer, although the iPhone 14 Pro Max managed a small advantage following closing some games faster. In the end, Apple’s smartphone finished the test with a time of 02:41:53, contra 02:41:78 of its rival — a real technical draw.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra, it is worth noting, has a customized version of the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which, despite already being present in other smartphones in its “normal” version, had not yet beaten the A16 Bionic in the channel’s tests. The Samsung device has 12GB of RAMRandom access memoryor random access memory.”>1 and UFS 4.0 storage, while the iPhone 14 Pro Max has 6GB of RAM and NVMe storage.
