The inclusion of recycled materials has also been increased in the Galaxy S23 series, going from six internal and external components made of eco-friendly materials in the Galaxy S22 Ultra to 12 internal and external components that include recycled materials in the Galaxy S23 Ultra.

We also used a variety of recycled materials, including pre-recycled aluminum and glass for use in Galaxy devices. By continuing to increase the use of recycled materials in our Galaxy devices, we are helping to reduce our impact on the environment. Specifically, the use of recycled ocean-derived plastic in the Galaxy S23 series could prevent more than 15 tons of discarded fishing nets from entering the world’s oceans by the end of 2023, helping to reduce its pollution.
And the Galaxy S23 series is built to last with durability and repairability, making it guaranteed for years to come. It’s the first to feature Corning® Gorilla® Glass Victus® 2, which provides durability for long-term use and contains an average of 22% recycled materials. The Galaxy S23 series also provides four generations of operating system upgrades and five years of security updates, so users are protected for longer.
