In addition to high-end smartphones, Samsung also has distributed the April security patch for mid-range smartphones like the Galaxy A53. The novelty is being released mainly in the United States.
According to the changelog made available by Samsung, the software features firmware version A536U1UEU4CWC4 with the fix for about 64 security holes found in Android 13.
There are still tweaks to the stability of the proprietary One UI 5.1 interface.
For now, the update is rolling out slowly and gradually through batches. This means that it may take a little longer for it to be available on your smartphone.
Anyway, the way to check availability is simple:

Galaxy A53 gets Android March security patch update
Samsung this week released a new software update for the Galaxy A53 bringing the March Android security patch to the brand’s intermediary. As with other updates, this one also does not carry any new features or important news for the device, including only general improvements and bug fixes.
According to information from the SamMobile portal, the patch was initially released in Europe with firmware number A536BXXS5CWB6, but availability is not yet consistent. In the case of the United States, Comcast carrier users received the update with vA536USQS4CWC2.
There is no prediction of when the South Korean giant will release this update in other countries, so it remains to wait for more official details. Considering the company’s history, it is expected that other regions will be covered in the coming weeks, mainly due to the fact that Europe and the US have recently received it.
As usual, the content was released to all owners via OTA notification, but the most anxious can search manually by going to Settings > Software Update.

Samsung Galaxy A53 receives update with December 2022 security patch
Samsung has started releasing a new software update for the Galaxy A53, one of its most popular mid-range phones. The latest security patch started rolling out on a limited basis last week, and now, it’s finally rolling out to users in Asia and Europe. Soon, the update must arrive in Brazil.
Loading firmware version A536BXXU4BVL2 in Europe, the Update includes December 2022 security patch. According to the manufacturer, the patch this month fixes almost 100 vulnerabilities that compromised the security and privacy of users.
The release notes for the update also indicate that there are several bug fixes and optimizations for the operating system. Therefore, users can expect more stability and improvements to the overall experience of cell phone use.
Interestingly, the Galaxy A52 received the latest firmware version before the Galaxy A53. As always, users in Asia and Europe are among the first to benefit from Samsung’s security updates. Other models that received the December patch include the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S20, Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4.
