According to the Hebrew media, Galant indicated yesterday, Wednesday, during his inspection of the army forces on the northern front, the possibility of moving to war with the movement of the Lebanese factions in Lebanon in a “quick, sudden and very sharp” manner.
Galant added: “We are waging a limited war in the north with Lebanon, and we are using a small part of the Israeli army’s power, but things can change in a second, from a major effort in the Gaza Strip to a major effort in the north with the Lebanese front, and this step will be quick, surprising and very sharp.”
He continued: “We are close to making a decision and we will know how to proceed on the path that will achieve security for the residents of the north near the Lebanese border.”
During Galant’s tour, army leaders presented a review of the situation on the border with Lebanon and developments in the fighting once morest the Lebanese factions’ movement, according to the private Israeli Channel 12.
It is worth noting that a number of Israeli officials have hinted more than once at the possibility of a war breaking out with Hezbollah in light of the unprecedented escalation witnessed on the border with Lebanon.
