This is a difficult and painful operational investigation, and it is the first in a series of investigations that are being conducted these days in the IDF.”
He pointed out that this committee must examine the failure of October 7 and examine why Hamas’s power has grown.

He referred to the storm of ultra-Orthodox recruitment, saying: “Why shouldn’t there be Haredi officers here in the future, in the square and in the crowd among us? We will know how to accept them, we will know how to receive them… Their faith will be respected and they will contribute to Israel’s security and their security, and they will feel more important because of that, and I am sure that Israel will be cohesive and stronger.”
