This morning, the mayor Mariano Gaido met with the rector of the National University of Comahue, Beatriz Gentile to reaffirm their commitment to public education. “Will follow supporting our University as we always have and bending efforts in these difficult times«he assured.
Today, the doors of the office of Beatriz Gentile, rector of the National University of Comahue, opened to welcome Mariano Gaido. At this meeting, the commitment of both parties to continue working together for quality public education was revalued.
On previous occasions, Mariano Gaido announced that during his administration he will continue to accompany UNCo due to its important role in society. The Municipality of Neuquén has already made several contributions to UNCo for works, including the remodeling of the “Beto Montero” gym.
“We are going to be together, working side by side. hToday I came to confirm that, as we have done since we took office in 2019, we will continue to support our University as we have always been and double our efforts in these difficult times“said the mayor.
Furthermore, he added that at the beginning of his administration, there were no doubts when it came to providing support to the University. “We are proud to work together, and we will continue down this path. They are our strategic partners and that is why they are our priority consultants,” said Mariano Gaido.
He also ratified his commitment to free student tickets. An essential necessity for those who are students in the capital of Neuquén and live in the most remote areas.
During the meeting the mayor was accompanied by the Councilor Atilio Sguazzini, while Beatriz Gentile was at the meeting with the Secretaries of the Treasury, Laura Porrino, Academic, Teresa Braicovich, the General Secretaries, Santiago Núñez, of Communication and Media, Gerardo Bilardo and the Cabinet Coordinator, Alejo Simonelli.
