The Gabonese journalist and columnist, Pheel le Montagnard, recently won the GIFA d’Or Awards 2024 in Paris, a prize which rewards each year individuals and initiatives that make a difference in their community.
The GIFA d’Or Awards 2024 ceremony took place during a gala organized at the French Senate palace on November 8.
This year, the focus was on players in the media sector, and Achille Ulrich Pambou, known as Pheel the Mountaineer, was honored.
Born on August 13, 1977 in Mouila, Gabon, Pheel le Montagnard established himself in the French media landscape after an initial career in local Gabonese radio stations, such as “Radio Mandarine” and “Radio Nostalgie”. His move to renowned stations like “Africa n°1” and “Africa Radio” reinforced his notoriety. In addition to his role as a radio host, Pheel is also a show producer and organizer, cementing his influence in the entertainment industry.
His distinction at the GIFA d’Or Awards not only highlights his talent, but also his commitment to solidarity and development. Furthermore, Pheel Pambou is the head of Teyanna Media, an agency specializing in media connections for politicians, entrepreneurs, cultural actors and associations wishing to increase their visibility.
For the first quarter of 2025, he announced the release of his book entitled “August 30”, which deals with the liberation coup in Gabon and highlights the role of activists considered as whistleblowers on the ills of Gabonese society. This gala has, once again, highlighted the importance of recognizing those involved in a better future, both economically and socially.
