Gabe Follower says Valve will add Source 2 to CS:GO instead of 128 tickrate

Russian content maker and dataminer Maxim Gabe Follower Poletaev said that Valve might change the tick rate system in CS:GO. He shared the information in a post on his personal channel in Telegram.

According to Poletaev, the new variables in the data readout will be called tickless and subtick. In a tweet, Gabe Follower noted that previously the game client and server read game events independently of each other and only then compared the result. After the introduction of the new system, the game client will wait for the result from the server, only following that continuing to work.

Earlier, in the NVIDIA control panel, fans of the shooter from Valve discovered game profiles called Counter-strike 2. On March 4, Poletaev suggested that some esportsmen had begun testing the new version of the game.

On March 5, English-speaking journalist Richard Lewis announced the release date for the updated shooter. According to his information, all official Valve servers will support the 128 tick rate.
