Great atmosphere at the celebration of social housing in Rudolf Bednar Park
Vienna (OTS) – Numerous Viennese received advice and information at the service stands on all aspects of housing on the main topics of reducing costs, subsidies and support options. The wide entertainment program provided games and fun for the whole family.
Vienna Housing Day was celebrated on Sunday September 3rd in Rudolf Bednar Park with a party for the whole family. Visitors might get advice in a cozy atmosphere and enjoy the extensive music and entertainment program for children and families. The wide range of services included information tents and service stands from the Housing, Housing Construction, Urban Renewal and Women business group and this year was all regarding housing-related services and subsidies. The Vienna Climate Tour, an interactive exhibition on climate protection, was included for the first time this year. Appropriately, the event had the title ÖkoEvent.
The visitors also enjoyed the extensive range of entertainment. From creative and play stations, exercise and sport for the whole family, Robert Steiner with “OKIDOKI on Tour” to a bouncy castle and football arena to musical highlights, everything was on offer. And the voices of the 1st Vienna Municipal Building Choir also sounded powerful. The highlight of the day was the performance of the legendary band Wiener Wahnsinn.
“With the Vienna Housing Day, we have succeeded in bringing the world-renowned Vienna housing model to life in one place for all Viennese. With our broad stage and hands-on program as well as advice and information, the Vienna Housing Day offers a wonderful mix. The advice stands were very well attended and show the importance of housing in Vienna. The free stage program and hands-on stations for young and old rounded off the day really nicely and created a very special atmosphere. A day like a wonderful Viennese blend of interesting facts and entertainment with a free summer feeling in Vienna,” says Deputy Mayor and City Councilor for Housing Kathrin Gaál.
There was great interest in the advice stands, such as the Vienna housing advice and the tenant help. Here, the search for an inexpensive apartment and, of course, the rent increases in recent months were the big issues. Since some increases are not always calculated correctly, a check by the experts from the tenant help can be worth real money. At the Wiener Wohnen stand, there was good news on the subject of support, following all, the multi-stage municipal building bonus directly relieves hundreds of thousands of municipal tenants. wohnpartner advised on neighborhood issues in municipal housing and the winners of this year’s boccia tournament were chosen. At the Hauskunft, interested parties were able to find out regarding advice and funding offers for all aspects of saving energy and replacing the heating system when renovating single and multi-family houses and condominiums. The experts from the housing subsidy were able to help with questions regarding housing subsidies, and when it came to subsidy options for external sun protection devices, the technical urban renewal department had the right advice ready. Wien Energie was there with an information tent, and Helmi met once more at the Road Safety Board.
The Deputy Mayor and Housing Councilor Kathrin Gaál and the organizers are already looking forward to seeing you once more at the Vienna Housing Day 2024.
