Vienna (OTS) – The City of Vienna’s neighborhood service is increasing active women’s work in the new year and has changed its internal structure in order to be able to work more flexibly and efficiently in community construction. Plus: participatory cultural offerings for everyone.
A functioning household and a good neighborhood are the best prerequisites for overcoming the numerous challenges of our time. Therefore, the neighborhood service wohnpartner im Gemeindebau will continue to implement a variety of measures in the areas of education, further training, sport, leisure as well as art and culture in 2024 so that the neighbors in the Grätzl can get to know each other. In addition, wohnpartner offers free mediation including mediation in the event of neighborhood conflicts.

New structure for more efficient work, more social advice
In the fourth quarter of 2023, the neighborhood service reorganized itself internally in order to be there for people more quickly and efficiently on site in community buildings. With a total of 29 locations (nine of which are top-equipped wohnpartner Grätzl centers), wohnpartner is a reliable partner in the neighborhood who always has an open ear when things get tight.
There is increasing demand for the “Social Information, Advice and Support” offering – under this motto, wohnpartner provides information regarding the aid and support measures of the City of Vienna and state institutions. At wohnpartner, all questions regarding energy and inflation (e.g.: climate bonus, cost-of-living allowance, etc.), housing (e.g.: Vienna housing support allowance, Vienna Housing Security Plus, NEW housing allowance, etc.), family (family allowance, family tax relief, etc.) and social benefits (minimum income). , help in special life situations, etc.) are in good hands. Due to high demand, this service will be expanded in 2024.

Community Building Cultural Laboratory: Projects for everyone to participate in
Vienna was recently named European Capital of Democracy 2024/2025. Kulturlabor Gemeindebau, the cultural arm of wohnpartner, has contributed with its projects to Vienna being able to be happy regarding this award. In the new year, Kulturlabor Gemeindebau, under the direction of Arno Rabl, remains true to its principles and has once once more put together a convincing program.
The focus of the free offer is on the participation of residents and cross-disciplinary work.
Die Highlights 2024:
In the “Theater Laboratory” the participants develop their own texts, which are woven into a piece. As part of a film project, Kulturlabor portrays a community building together with residents. Walls are designed interactively and wohnpartner also deals with the creative possibilities of AI. The “Natto House” project is regarding conveying artistic knowledge regarding the cultural history of the soy plant.
