World leaders including US President Joe Biden will arrive in New Delhi on Friday for the two-day G-20 summit starting on Saturday. Union Minister of State VK Singh will receive Biden at the Palam International Airport at 6.55 pm, who will arrive by Air Force One. Then Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Biden will hold bilateral talks. This is Biden’s first visit to India following becoming president. Discussions will be held on strengthening economic-defense cooperation between the two countries, increasing foreign direct investment, climate change mitigation and use of green gases. In 2021, the two countries signed the ‘Climate and Clean Energy Agenda – 2030’ agreement. The progress of negotiations between Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) and American company Westings Electric Company (WEC) for the construction of six nuclear reactors in India will also be assessed. World leaders like British Prime Minister and Indian origin Rishi Sunak, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Saudi Prince Mohammed bin Salman will also arrive on Friday.
