Former Pakistan Women’s team captain Sana Mir has become part of a union formed to review the future of cricket.

According to the French news agency “AFP”, The World Cricketers Association (WCA) has started a large-scale review of the future of cricket.

The Players’ Union, formerly known as “FICA”, has begun working on a strategy aimed at running international cricket and domestic leagues together in a transparent manner.

Former England and Wales Cricket Board chief executive Tom Harrison and Sana Mir have been made part of a six-member strong panel that will review cricket along with independent consultants.

The six-member panel will make recommendations to the World Cricketers’ Association board in consultation with players, administrators, team owners and broadcasters.

The World Cricketers’ Association says that ‘the current model of cricket is uncertain and unsustainable. There is an urgent need to change it.’

The World Cricketers’ Association added that ‘there is confusion and confusion between international cricket and domestic leagues, putting pressure on players to represent their country and save their careers.’

It should be noted that according to a study by the Professional Cricketers Association, 81% of players are concerned about their physical health due to domestic leagues as they do not get regular rest and recovery time due to this schedule.
