The new Audi Q8 e-tron will not be produced in Audi’s Brussels factory, management confirmed to the German specialist magazine Automobilwoche. Audi is currently looking for a solution for the Forest plant. It is possible that a model from another brand is assembled there.

The management of the Brussels plant had already announced to the unions at the beginning of February that the new generation of the Q8 e-tron would no longer be manufactured in the Belgian capital from 2027. Gerd Walker, head of production at Audi , confirmed this information during an event organized by Automobilwoche. “We will build the successor to the Q8 e-tron in Mexico starting in 2027,” he explained.

However, the brand with the four rings has no intention of abandoning Audi Brussels. “We are looking for a solution,” Mr. Walker assured the trade magazine.

According to Automobilwoche, it is possible that the solution in question lies in another brand of the Volkswagen parent group. The Forest factory might therefore produce models from other Volkswagen brands.
