The Future Games Show was back for a Spring Showcase 2022 edition. Organized by the Gamesradar site, the fully digital event has become one of the highlights of the year for the industry. Here’s everything we’ve seen and learned regarding upcoming releases!
A slew of games!
Turbo Golf Racing
Cars, balls… No doubt, following watching the Turbo Golf Racing trailer, only one game comes to mind: yes, Rocket League, but golf version! After three years of development, the project from Hugecalf Studios and published by Secret Mode will be available this year on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and directly in the Game Pass. A beta will also be available before release.
Flintlock : The Siege of Dawn
The creators of Ashen, present at the last ID@Xbox, presented a Developer Diary on the progress of their next game, Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn. The opportunity to learn more regarding the universe depicted and to see some short gameplay sequences.
Deliver Us Mars
The sequel to the intoxicating Deliver Us Moon will take us, this time, to the planet Mars! The first part put us in the shoes of an astronaut sent urgently to a colonized, abandoned Moon. Release planned for PC, PlayStation 4|5, Xbox Series X|S.
AlterBorn
Developed by Iron Lung, AlterBorn presents a dark universe corrupted by a mysterious force. The developers are talking regarding a mix of genres for this title which will be released on PC, PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S in 2023.
Team 17 Line-Up
The British studio, known for its work on the Worms franchise, showed off a trailer for all of its upcoming games. Among them :
- Marauders, a sci-fi multiplayer FPS in which you play as a space pirate. It will join the Xbox Game Pass directly when it has an official release date, unknown at this time.
- Ship of Fools: a cooperative roguelite in which you will fight monsters on customizable barges that you will have to defend. This barred universe is announced on PC and consoles, with no release date.
- Batora Lost Haven: an action-adventure game in which your heroine has extraordinary mental and psychic abilities. It is slated for a 2022 release on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
- The Serpent Rogue: an action-adventure game in a medieval universe where alchemy and wild creatures will be part of it. Release scheduled for April 26 on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
- Thymesia: embody the character of Corvus in this dark and disturbing souls-like where you will fight once morest many enemies. No date has been announced for this expected game on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Lego Star Wars : The Skywalker Saga
Release scheduled for April 5th for the most ambitious game in the Lego franchise to date. To celebrate its upcoming arrival, a final trailer was unveiled and the Xbox put in the spotlight. The opportunity to watch some scenes from the Star Wars movies from a humorous angle, “à la Lego”!
The Outbound Ghost
World Premiere for this RPG whose style is furiously reminiscent of Paper Mario. It embodies a spirit seeking to help ghosts who wish to reach the followinglife. This won’t happen without a fight, of course. Release planned soon on PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
Immortality
After revealing itself at the last ID@Xbox, Immortality returned with a gameplay trailer featuring investigation sequences. As a reminder, you are looking for the missing actress Marissa Marcel and will have to explore rushes of films in which she has acted. You will be able to play with time and explore the smallest detail. Expected release in 2022 on PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One.
Imp of The Sun
Inspired by Peruvian culture, this platform game will ask you to put an end to the eternal eclipse that reigns over the world by bringing back the light. It is available now on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4|5. On Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, it benefits from a -10% offer on the Store and is attach at the price of 17.99€.
Vampire : The Masquerade – Swansong
The developers of Big Bad Wold Studio have focused on several gameplay sequences as well as the abilities of the three characters that you can embody. This adventure will put you in the shoes of vampires with supernatural abilities that you can unlock as you progress. Release scheduled for May 19 on PC, PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
The Cub
Traverse an apocalyptic world in this colorful and uniquely melancholic platformer that first showed up through a gameplay trailer. Coming soon to PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
Lego Bricktales
This new Lego adventure was the “one more thing” of the evening, the little last minute surprise. An original construction game in which you will have to solve puzzles at the heart of Lego sets. You will have the possibility to build different objects according to the situation encountered. Release scheduled for 2022 for a title that has not announced any platform, but which we strongly doubt that Xbox consoles will be forgotten.

A short trailer showcasing several titles coming to Xbox, including:
- Sacrifice (2022): a pixelart RPG
- Lumote: The Mastermote Chronicles: a 3D puzzle in which you embody a bioluminescent creature. Available April 21!
This is the end of this Future Games Show Spring Showcase, the first of three events organized by the Gamesradar site and whose summary is available at this page. This edition allowed us to discover several World Premieres and new features to come on Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S, in particular, which we will have the opportunity to talk regarding on the site. The next meeting of this type will be organized in June 2022 and we hope to discover more games there!
