Pierre Marcotte died of complications from COVID on July 13. He was 83 years old. Still active, the formerTannant was expected on stage at the Casino de Montréal next month.

Wave of tributes

After the burning chapel, the relatives of Pierre Marcotte were invited to a religious ceremony, at the end of the followingnoon. It was for this portion of the celebrations that his ex-wife, singer Shirley Théroux, came.

“I have met a lot of people since Pierre’s death and they all remember his smile. What people tell me the most is how much he made them laugh, that he brought joy to their daily lives, ”she confides, crossed on the forecourt of the church.
