The funeral of Paul Furlan, former Walloon minister mayor, will be held this Monday, April 17 in Thuin. Thus, the City of Thuin has announced how to attend the various tributes paid this Monday. “We advise you to organize your visit to avoid parking problems,” she said on her Facebook page.

“In Thuin, stopping and parking will be prohibited on Place Albert 1er, Place du Chapitre and Grand-Rue from No. 1 to No. 7, from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. In Gozée, stopping and parking will be prohibited on rue Emile Vandervelde on the odd side, beyond the Aulne cemetery. »

Regarding the passage of the funeral procession, the Commune also provided the following details. “Paul is currently resting at the General Funeral Home in Thuin. He will leave the premises on Monday around 9 a.m. The funeral procession will take the following streets: avenue de Ragnies, rue du Moustier, rue ‘t Sertevens, rue Pierre Mengal, rue Léopold II, Place du Chapitre (30-minute stop for a silent tribute), Rempart Nord, avenue du Berceau, rue du Chêne and rue Emile Vandervelde to arrive at Salle la Carrosserie for the official public ceremony (around 10am). »
