Fully electric buses will run in Islamabad, claims Fawad Chaudhry

Federal Science and Technology Minister Fawad Chaudhry has said that fully electric buses will run in Islamabad in the next three to four years.

An agreement has been reached between the Ministry of Science and Technology and CDA regarding electric buses.

Speaking at the ceremony organized in this regard, Fawad Chaudhry said that thirty buses are being ordered in the first phase, more than forty thousand passengers will be able to travel on electric buses and this will save thirty thousand million barrels of oil.

He said that with electric buses, diesel worth 51 crores can be saved in a year, by 2030 forty percent of our transport will be electric.

Fawad Chaudhry has said that we have to keep in mind what changes will come with development, we have to see who will be unemployed with development and who will benefit.

He said that the faster electric buses and cars run, the survival of a common mechanic will become difficult.

He said that I hope two more electric bus companies will come to Pakistan within the next year.

Science and Technology Minister said that we want to bring three-wheeler cars for girls very soon, this is a big revolution in public transport.

He said that today’s decision about Nawaz Sharif is welcome, today the court rejected Nawaz Sharif’s appeal while maintaining the decision of the trial court.

He said that declaring Nawaz Sharif as an advertisement is also a pleasure, people including me who thought that Nawaz Sharif had cheated, our position was confirmed.

Fawad Chaudhry said that Nawaz Sharif will soon be in Pakistan and will complete the rest of his sentence.

He said that there is no fraud in Hamza Shehbaz’s corona report, if his test is positive, then may Allah give him health.
