Full Scholarships for Palestinian Students at Al-Azhar University: Sheikh Al-Tayeb’s Directives

2023-12-03 08:49:28

The Sheikh of Al-Azhar, Ahmed Al-Tayeb, issued directives today (Saturday) to provide full scholarships to Palestinian students studying at Al-Azhar University and the Islamic Scholarship Institutes, including exemption from tuition fees, hosting them in the Islamic Scholarship City in Cairo, and disbursing a monthly sum of money.

Al-Azhar’s Facebook page quoted Al-Tayeb as emphasizing Al-Azhar’s interest, and his personal interest, in the conditions of Palestinian students in light of the Gaza Strip being exposed to Israeli attacks.

Al-Azhar explained that there are 444 Palestinian students, both male and female, studying at Al-Azhar University and the scholarship institutes, and 75 have applied for scholarships.
