Fukushima Water Release: Tokyo’s Controversial Decision to Dispose Nuclear Waste in the Sea

Japan will release water contaminated with nuclear waste from the decommissioning Fukushima power plant into the sea from Thursday. It was approved by the UN Atomic Energy Agency weeks ago. 13.4 lakh tons of water is released. The Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant collapsed in the tsunami that occurred on March 11, 2011.
