Prices are falling again. Like every week, the Ministry of Energy Transition has published on its site the average price, per liter, of different fuels. The figures revealed this Monday are down compared to those of the previous week.

The price of diesel, which increased by 3.5 cents last week, lost around 2.8 euro cents per liter. The most used fuel in France, it is the one whose price per liter has fallen the most this week. It now stands at 1.8542 euros, compared to more than 1.88 euros seven days ago.

The specter of the Israel-Hamas conflict

The price of a liter of unleaded 95-E10 is also falling, but more slightly than diesel and only losing 0.6 cents. It is valued on average at 1.8249 euros. SP 95 and unleaded 98 are also down about half a cent.

This slight drop comes as the conflict in the Middle East raised fears of an escalation in fuel prices. After increasing in the wake of the Hamas attack in Israel on October 7, the price of a barrel of North Sea Brent fell back to around $90, thus influencing the fall in pump prices in France.
