Fuel prices in Spain: The discount of 20 cents comes into force this week

It was on Tuesday that the discount granted by the Spanish government was definitively adopted. It will be in place this week.

The Council of Ministers of the Spanish government chaired by Pedro Sanchez voted on Tuesday the plan to fight once morest the social effects of the war in Ukraine.

Among the plan of 6 billion direct aid, Spain has validated a rebate of 20 cents on each liter of gasoline. Initially granted to truck drivers, this aid will ultimately concern all motorists, including the French, who will come to help themselves at Spanish service stations.

In volume, this aid is a little more important than that granted by France to its motorists (18 cents) even if, in the end, the Spanish government will pay 15 cents and it is the oil distributors who will add the other 5 cents of drop per liter of fuel.

As in France, this discount from the Spanish government will come into effect as of this friday april 1st and this in all the service stations of the country.

Currently, the average price of gasoline in France is 2.1165 euros for diesel and 1.967 euros for unleaded. In Spain, the average price is now 1,782 euros for diesel and 1,784 euros for unleaded.
