New Delhi: As inflation continues to soar in the country, the central government has slashed fuel prices. Excise duty on petrol has been reduced by Rs 8 per liter and diesel by Rs 6 per liter. This will reduce petrol prices by Rs 9.50 per liter and diesel by Rs 7 per liter.
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced a reduction in excise duty on fuel. The sharp rise in prices of essential commodities has prompted the central government to reduce fuel prices.
