Asunción, IP.- Starting this Tuesday, February 3, the new prices for diesel, gasoline and fares will come into effect, according to the Executive Branch.
Last week, President Horacio Cartes decreed the reduction of diesel and gasoline prices by 400 guaraníes per liter. In this way, common diesel will cost 4,690 guaraníes per liter, while the new price of Petropar’s common gasoline will be 4,590 guaraníes.
The president also ordered the reduction of the ticket to 2,300 guaraníes, starting this Tuesday.
For this reduction in the cost of the ticket, the fare calculation report for the public passenger transport service has been taken into consideration, which indicates that with the drop in the price of diesel and incorporating the corresponding values in the structure of the calculation sheet of the cost of the ticket, there is a variation in the service rate.
With this provision, the subsidy regime for public passenger transportation in the metropolitan area is maintained.
It is worth remembering that on August 1 of last year the Executive decided to maintain the price of the ticket at 2,400 guaraníes, and established a subsidy of 100 guaraníes for transporters.
