Havana government officials reported through a announcement official, disclosed in the morning hours of this May 4, that the already limited sale of fuel in various service centers in Havana would be suspended, especially in the Vedado area where on May 5 a political act will be held for the celebration of the “Workers Day”.
According to this note, “taking into account the activities scheduled for International Workers’ Day and other activities that will be carried out in the Malecón area, it is necessary to take measures.”
Due to this, the distribution and sale of fuel will be suspended from 7:00 p.m. on May 4 until 10:00 a.m. on May 5, in the service centers (all of the Plaza de la Revolución municipality) that we will mention below.
What service centers will be affected by this? The one at 3rd and 12th, the one at Riviera, the one at Tángana, the one at Vista al Mar, the one at La Rampa and the one at the corner of G and 25. All of them affected due to the aforementioned political act.
“Customers who are in these service centers will be guaranteed to maintain the same order of the queue that is found in the established records or lists, for which reason, and for security reasons, the presence of vehicles parked in these places or their surroundings”, they added.
FUEL CRISIS IN HAVANA
They assured in their statement that “as of 10:00 am on May 5, fuel distribution and sale services are restored in the aforementioned service centers.”
