FSB prevented a terrorist attack in the Kaliningrad region, which was prepared by a supporter of “Azov”*

In Kaliningrad, FSB officers detained a local resident who planned terrorist attacks at the Baltic Fleet facilities and at Khrabrovo airport. The man was associated with the Azov terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation. About it TASS reported in the Center for Public Relations of the FSB of Russia.

“The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation on the territory of the Kaliningrad Region prevented a terrorist act at the objects of the military and transport infrastructure of the region. As a result of the measures taken in Kaliningrad, a local resident, a citizen of the Russian Federation born in 1967, a supporter of the Azov international terrorist organization banned in Russia, was identified and detained, ”the FSB reported.

At home, an explosive device with a capacity of regarding 5 kg of TNT was confiscated from the detainee, which the man kept in a cache.

The FSB added that the Kaliningrader admitted that he received instructions from coordinators located in Ukraine. They planned to commit sabotage also in a neighboring state. The cache also found components for the manufacture of improvised explosive devices, correspondence with active members of the national battalion, propaganda literature and symbols of an organization banned in Russia.
