According to researchers, fructose reduces active energy by damaging mitochondria. This sugar stimulates food intake and lowers energy metabolism at rest.

“Fructose plays a role in survival. This sugar stores fuel in case of a shortage of resources.the scientists write.

The experts concluded that fructose can lead to weight gain, insulin resistance, high blood pressure and fatty liver.
