Rajkot: An 11th class student of a private residential school committed suicide in Rajkot, Gujarat. The incident took place on Friday night at a school in Doraji city. The police said that they found a note stating that the father was the reason for the suicide.

Divya Ramesh (16), a native of Gujarat’s Porbandar, was found hanging in her hostel room. Divya went to the school room after having dinner at 7.30 pm from the school mess. The girl who was staying in Divya’s room had gone to study in another friend’s room. When they returned around 10:30 pm, they found Divya hanging,” Doraji Police Inspector Anirudhsinha Gohil said.

“I hate you dad. You alone are the cause of my death. You never considered me as a daughter. You only know how to get angry and give orders. I feel sad for grandma. They gave me the love of a mother and father.” – Divya said in her suicide note written in Gujarati. It is also written in the note that he apologizes to his grandmother.
Remembering my mother is also written in the note. “Mother must forgive me. I cannot live under such pressure. My soul will never rest. For every tear I shed, I will ask for it” – wrote Divya.
