The protest affects not only the state railways FS, but also the staff of the private railway company Italo, unions reported. The strike begins at 3am on Thursday (July 13) and is scheduled to last until 2am on Friday.
The FS subsidiary Trenitalia warned that the strike might have a “significant impact” on rail traffic and lead to “complete and partial train cancellations”.
