He celebrated his victory by going out for dinner with his family. The 40-year-old civil engineer had previously won Dh77 when he matched two out of seven numbers. Therefore, at first he might not believe the fact that he received a prize of 77,777 dirhams.
“I was shocked when I got the prize of AED 77,777. I had only participated in the draw a few times. My wife didn’t believe the prize until I was shown the e-mail message,” he added with a laugh. His decision is to set aside money for the education expenses of his eight-year-old son.

Another lucky winner is Manoj Madhusudan. He has been a regular draw since the start of the Emirates Draw in September 2021 and won Dh77,777 each in the weekly draw twice in three weeks. His successes are proof that patience and persistence can pay off big.
A friend called Manoj, who is also a father of two, to inform him of the winner once more. Later there was a rush to check and make sure what he heard was true.
“I jumped like a little kid following making sure I won once more. I never expected to get another prize like this so soon”. He added that he works as a superintendent in the workshop.
Manoj’s philosophy is to keep trying and never give up. Since the first draw, the 55-year-old has been regularly buying two pencils worth Dh50 each. But when he didn’t get the gift, he started buying three pencils each. However, the strategy was successful. For the first time, a prize of 77,777 dirhams was received.
“I will continue to support the poor people with the prize money and support local charities. I now feel like participating in the lottery once more. Who knows, maybe I will win once more” – said Madhusudanan.

Sabujan Zainuddin, a Malayali who works in the medical field in the country, was a regular participant in the draw but had never won a prize in any draw before, so he was doubtful whether he might believe the congratulatory message that he had won a prize in the Emirates draw.
