From now on, to access Spain from Morocco, the vaccination pass or a certificate of recovery are mandatory

MUpdate of the conditions for access to Spanish territory from Morocco. The Official Bulletin of the Iberian Kingdom (BOE) published this Thursday an amendment to the decree which establishes the criteria for the application of temporary restrictions on non-essential travel from third countries to the European Union and countries associated with the Schengen area due to the health crisis caused by Covid-19.

The changes, which come into effect immediately, will remain in effect until November 15 at midnight, without ruling out the possibility of a possible modification according to the evolution of circumstances or new recommendations of the European Union.

Regarding the closure of border crossings with Morocco, all third-country nationals will be refused entry, except those who meet the conditions to travel to the rest of the Schengen area and workers border residents with a valid foreign identity card or a specific visa for the two enclaves of Sebta and Melilia, recalls the Spanish press agency EFE.

“These two categories (Schengen visa holders and border workers, editor’s note) must be in possession of a vaccination certificate once morest Covid-19, a recovery certificate or a certificate of negative diagnosis of the disease, which the Ministry of Health recognizes for these purposes”specifies the BOE.

Ditto for arrivals in Spain by air or sea borders, any traveler from Morocco must have the same papers to be able to enter the country.
