The English tour operator Iron Travel, through the Spanish company Euroairlines, will launch two new routes to Cuba next May.
The current agreement authorizes the direct link between London (Gatwick) and Manchester with Holguín and Cayo Coco, respectively.
The manager of Euroairlines, Antonio López Lázaro, elaborated on the subject. “The agreement will intensify and consolidate the company’s presence in Latin America.
For us, Iron Travel is a strategic partner that will allow us to strengthen our presence in a very important area for international tourism.”
Based on the agreement, already established, the English company will have access to a network of travel agencies, aggregators and consolidators present in more than 60 countries. In all cases they will be provided by the aforementioned Spanish company.
Meanwhile, the CEO of Iron Travel, Ernesto Placer, confirmed his happiness and satisfaction at associating with Euroairlines. “Our collaboration will help “Improve the connection between Europe and the Caribbean, as we will offer the best customer experience before, during and following the trip.”
Iron Travel, with its sights set on Cuba
Currently, Iron Travel provides several services focused on Cuba. Among them are the offer of regular and seasonal flights, car rentals, accommodations and excursions.
Around 45 international airlines currently operate in Cuba.
Of them, 19 are from Latin America, 15 from Europe, four Canadians and one from Africa. Meanwhile, as recently revealed, the airline Rutaca, from Venezuela, began operations to Holguín.
At the beginning of April, Cuba registered a slight increase in the arrival of tourists to the Island during the first quarter of this year. The “forecast” for 2024 is the arrival of three million foreign people to Cuban airports and ports.
During the aforementioned period (first quarter), 808,678 visitors arrived in Cuba. The resulting increase amounted to 7.5%.
