[FETV=장기영 기자] ABL Life Insurance is receiving favorable responses by providing customized management services for dementia insurance subscribers free of charge.
ABL Life launched ‘ABL dementia care insurance’ last month and is providing ‘ABL dementia care service’ to subscribers.
After the launch of the product, as it became known that it can receive not only insurance money for dementia diagnosis, but also free management services, customers have been inquiring regarding subscription.
The dementia care service consists of a service that helps prevent dementia before the onset and a service that provides necessary benefits at each stage following the onset of dementia.
Before the onset of dementia, it provides services such as health counseling, treatment reservations, preferential treatment for health checkups, provision of health information, and self/early diagnosis so that people can check their physical condition in daily life and detect dementia at an early stage.
After the onset of dementia, necessary services are provided to patients and their caregivers according to the stage of dementia, such as mild, moderate, or severe. When the final diagnosis of mild dementia (CDR1) is confirmed, services such as accompaniment service to a senior general hospital, and vehicle escort and transfer support between hospitals are available when the final diagnosis of moderate dementia (CDR2) is confirmed.
Eun Jae-kyung, head of ABL Life’s product and marketing department, said, “We introduced the dementia care service in consideration of the fact that dementia patients are estimated to account for 1 in 10 people over the age of 65 as of 2020. We will practice true customer-oriented management by providing necessary management services rather than just paying insurance money.”
