– When we put Lille, as the young dog is called, on a leash and wanted to take her out to the car, she went into shock and lay shaking in the garden, completely glued to the ground. We knew very well that the dogs had probably not experienced much in their lives, but when we were with Lille, it was clear to us that we were faced with a major socialization task, says Karina Fisker in the press release.
However, they eventually succeeded in luring the 10-month-old dog to the car, so that she could be taken to Nordjyllands Internat.
The four dogs were vet checked at the animal shelter in North Jutland to ensure that nothing was wrong. – We decided quite quickly to send the puppy and its mother into the care of one of our skilled foster families, while we worked with Lille at 10 months at the animal shelter. And I just have to say that she has been surprisingly fast in her development. She is still not ready for adoption, but it is a completely different dog we meet now, says Karina Fisker.
The mother and puppy have also gone through a great development with a foster family, and as soon as the animals are ready for new homes, they will be put up for adoption on the Animal Protection website.
