From film evening to church service – Halle Hospice Week in October: Halle (Saale)

(halle.de/ps) Following German Hospice Day, the Heinrich Pera Hospice is organizing a hospice week this year. The series of events begins on October 14th with the film “Eternal You – From the End of Finitude,” which will be shown at 6 p.m. in the Luchs Cinema. The film is about an emerging development in mourning culture: artificial intelligence that can keep us connected to our dead.

A charity cocktail tasting will take place in the Lujah bar on Tuesday, October 15th. Five different cocktails are presented to try, which are tied into a story about the end of life. The evening begins at 6 p.m. and is open to anyone brave enough to face the final things.

In the seminar room Planetariums will hold on Thursday, October 17th, followed by Prof. Dr. Barbara Schneider from the National Suicide Prevention Program gave a lecture on suicide prevention. The event is aimed at everyone who works in the social, medical or educational sectors. Entry is free.

Hospice Week 2024 will conclude on October 20th with a service in the Holy Cross Community on Gütchenstrasse. The mass begins at 10:30 a.m. with a hospice impulse. Anyone interested is invited, regardless of denomination.
