LinkedIn did not bet on unusual videos or influencers, but rather on work. The social network celebrates its 20th anniversary this Friday. A platform on which it is possible to find a job in the marketing sector, communication but also in education or catering.
It is a particular social network which celebrates its 20th anniversary this Friday. LinkedIn is 930 million members worldwide, 117 applications per second and eight hires per minute. Hiring in the marketing, communication or digital sectors… But also doctors, teachers or even cooks. Today with LinkedIn, we can recruit all trades.
“There are more and more cook positions”
On LinkedIn, it is possible to find all kinds of jobs, even the least qualified as a kitchen dishwasher. Clémentine, communication officer for a caterer near Nantes, was able to find someone very quickly for this position thanks to the platform. “The offer was posted a week ago. We had regarding ten candidates and we found someone who will start in a few days. Finally, we notice that there are more in addition to positions of cooks or in this field, which are on LinkedIn and suddenly, it attracts people”, she explains at the microphone of Europe 1.
Various job offers
Just take a walk on the site to see the diversity of offers: train driver at the SNCF, ambulance driver for the AP-HP, and even animator in Ehpad. Alongside these ads, some users are also looking for very specific jobs, like Chris, an electronics technician. A sector where offers are scarce.
“In my sector of activity, in an electronic design office, it is very complicated to find advertisements on generic platforms, it is rather direct contacts”, he indicates. Looking for a new job in January, he took a chance on LinkedIn by posting his search. And it worked, in just one week, he received a job offer.
