Fritzler got his first pole at the TC in El Calafate

Otto Fritzler, one of the young talents of motorsports in Argentina, began to write his story this followingnoon at TC by getting his first pole position in the category in the brand new El Calafate racetrack, venue for the fourth date of the contest in which the most prominent of the regionals was Juan C. Benvenuti in tenth place.

Fritzler was dispatched with a great job in the brand new circuit, which allowed him to keep the first pole in the popular category, to which he landed following winning the title in the TC Pista following an impeccable campaign.

Although he started in the first of the four groups, his time of 1m 19s 82/100 was enough to get him pole position, following relegating a surprising Marcos Quijada, for 20/100, and Santiago Mangoni for 22/100, both benefiting from a sanction to Julian Santero for injuring Mauricio Lambiris.

Further back in the classification in the new circuit that the TC inaugurated were Andrés Jakos, Jonatan Castellano, Santero, Lambiris, Leonel Pernía. Valentín Aguirre and Benvenuti, Mariano Werner finished in 16th place, who is the leader of the contest.

Benvenuti was the standout of the regionals. He finished eleventh in the standings, but Juan T. Catalán Magni’s time withdrawal allowed him to close the Top 10. He worked hard to accommodate his car in the two practice sessions and when looking for the fastest lap he finished 58/100 behind. Fritzler’s pole.

The champion José M. Urcera continues to be complicated. He started ahead, because he led the first practice session and did well in the second, although in qualifying he only reached 20th, 1s 22/100 behind the fastest.

Tomorrow at 9.35 am the first series will begin, in which Benvenuti will be in fourth place. At 10 the second will be played, with Urcera moving seventh, and at 10:25 the third. The start of the final was scheduled for 1:20 p.m., which will require 25 laps or 50 minutes.
