From Tuesday, August 20th to Thursday, August 22nd, a friendly volleyball tournament was held in Puerto La Cruz, in preparation for the state championship that will start this weekend.
The preparatory competition was held at the Luis “Lumumba” Estaba court in the city of Buenos Aires. There was participation in both the male and female categories, according to Manuel Méndez, president of the LM Sports Academy.
Méndez indicated that during the three days teams such as Las Garzas, Huracanes, Panters, Cobras, Academia LM, La Caraqueña, Las Casitas, among others, were in action, both in the children’s and youth categories.

The professor said that between 160 and 200 children and young people participated daily. All of them will be closely observed in the state tournament to evaluate the possibility of structuring a team that represents Anzoátegui in national events.
The coach also indicated that the championship between teams from the Anzoategui entity will be played from Saturday, August 24 on fields located on Costanera Avenue and in the Tronconal V sector of Barcelona.
