The Supervisory Board (Dewas) of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) admitted that it was confused by the reasons why the new Deputy Chair of the Anti-Corruption Agency, Nurul Ghufron, was having problems with coordination with PPATK. In fact, cooperation is often carried out.
“Many times, yes. The case of Mr. FB (Firli Bahuri), the case of extortion (illegal levies) in the detention center (detention center). Dewas is coordinating with PPATK and there are no problems,” said Dewas KPK member Syamsuddin Haris at the Dewas KPK Office, South Jakarta, Thursday, April 25 2024.
Syamsuddin was reluctant to provide further comments regarding Ghufron’s complaint once morest KPK Dewas member Albertina Ho. However, he considered the report strange because it had never been questioned before.
“Yes, it’s a bit strange,” said Syamsuddin.
On the other hand, Ghufron felt that his complaint was not wrong. Because, all KPK officers can complain if they are judged to have a colleague who violates ethics.
“Every KPK member, to uphold the values of integrity, is asked to report,” said Ghufron at the KPK Dewas office.

Ghufron is reluctant to worry regarding accusations that he is seeking revenge because he will face an ethics trial on charges of abusing authority. He chose to respect other people’s assessments of the reporting.
“That’s people’s judgment. “No problem,” said Ghufron.
Ghufron reported Albertina to the KPK Council. The former judge has opened his voice regarding the complaint from the commissioner of the Anti-Corruption Agency.

Albertina said the report once morest her was related to abuse of authority. According to him, Ghufron assessed that the KPK Dewas members made mistakes when coordinating with PPATK.
“There is a problem coordinating with PPATK to request information regarding suspicious financial transactions in collecting evidence in the case of an IT prosecutor (who allegedly blackmailed a witness) who was reportedly suspected of violating ethics by accepting gratuities and bribes,” said Albertina.
According to Albertina, coordination with PPATK was not carried out using her personal name. But, he continued, on behalf of the KPK Council.
