Frequency – US rapper G-Eazy started the Triple A finals

With no storms and almost moderate temperatures, the musicians on the three stages on the second day of the Frequency Festival once more had the sole say – and for sporty motivated visitors there was still the opportunity for a round of “Techno Yoga” just before 6 p.m. as a small highlight . The rooms in front of the stages were already quite full at this time, and US rapper G-Eazy proved to be the first crowd puller on the main stage.

On the Space Stage, however, things started with blanks from 3 p.m., alongside the 25-year-old Dutch YouTube popper, Dilla from Berlin followed as an opener on the Green Stage, while indoors the Red Bull Stage was put into operation by the Glueboys. On this, the third act, the Nova Twins from London, saw and heard the first highlight of the day. Amy Love, who acts as a guitarist and singer, and bassist Georgia South really heated things up, although the Austrian debut was initially interrupted by a feedback. However, this only affected the guitar and following a drummer supported the duo, South bridged the technical emergency measures with their booming string instrument. The Nova Twins then delivered rap and rock with a punk touch in a form that the “Guardian” described as a “mindblowing blast of distorted noise-pop”. With their second album “Supernova” the two are in good shape, as it was nominated for the Mercury Prize and received good reviews from the music press. There was nothing wrong with the performance live either – maybe one of the two big stages would have been the right place for the Twins.

At the Space Stage, the warm-up phase was also over, and US rapper G-Eazy was responsible for that. In contrast to his two predecessors, the Californian was finally able to fill the space in front of the stage properly, but the main acts of the day were to follow in the form of a triple-A. First of the final trio on Friday is Anne-Marie, a British pop singer who caused a sensation with the negative version of Stevie Wonder’s world hit “I Just Called to Say I Love You”, followed by the unpronounceable German rockers AnnenMayKantereit Ehe Apache207 is the biggest act of the day: Two years ago, the two-meter-tall German rapper landed a streaming record in his home country with his song “Roller” and will deliver the finale on the Space Stage today. As in 2018, Left Boy from Vienna will be on the smaller Green Stage, before the psytrance duo Vini Vici invites you to dance there at the end.
