Frenchman Juhann Begarin continues his good run against Memphis

In a one-sided match where the Celtics were never really worried by the Grizzlies in total hibernation, the Frenchie once once more delivered an attractive performance. Jaylen Brown can pack his bags, Boston’s future starting back is called Juhann Begarin. How do we do too much?

If there is one event that we did not expect, it is these fireworks triggered all over France to celebrate the performance of Juhann Begarin once morest Memphis on Thursday July 14. So yes, of course, the native of Abymes delighted us, well even for the title of European champion in 2013 we had never seen such excitement for basketball. Still, we are not going to hide our pleasure, because the Frenchman deserves some applause. In a meeting that the Celtics won hands down (108-91), the shooting guard posted a nice line of stats: 19 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals at 50% shooting in 28 minutes. Tomars, alley-oop, drives, shoot from the parking lot, the one who played Paris Basketball this year showed all his offensive qualities, especially in the second half. So yes, there is still waste, but who had honestly announced that the latter would shine so much in this Summer League? Thanks to this performance, but also and above all under the impetus of a JD Davison who came out of nowhere (28 points, 5 rebounds, 10 assists, 3 steals and 1 once morest in 64/67/100), the C’s now display a balance sheet of three victories for a single defeat, and we will just note that our Frenchie deprived Davison of a 30/10 by going solo on the last counter-attack of the match, however allowed by an interception from his teammate. Check the size of the rat.

Since the start of the competition, Juhann has let go of the horses. Drafted in 45th position by the men in green last year, the Frenchie failed to make an impression in the first summer. This year, not only did he allow himself a hell of a poster on the face of poor Sandro Mamukelashvili which will have made the rounds of social networks, but he more generally knew how to seize the opportunity which was once once more given to him by Boston. With 16.5 points on average over his four games played (including none less than 11 points), we can say that Begarin is having a good Summer League. Some will talk to you regarding percentages, but that’s forgetting that this competition is also a masonry competition where bricks and blocks are legion. And if the French are sometimes criticized for being too shy, it is therefore certainly not a remark applicable to the rear for this 2022 edition. Like one of his actions this evening once morest Memphis where he was countered, immediately asked for the ball once more and went up to the two-handed dunk, the guy is not afraid to show himself and to constantly return to the coal. An aggressiveness and a warrior mentality which is a pleasure to see, and which we necessarily hope to continue to enjoy until the latest possible.

Although he is probably not the one promised the best future in the NBA, Juhann Begarin is nonetheless the most successful Frenchman of this Summer League. Witness this little ray of blue-white-red sunshine that once once more lit up Las Vegas.
